To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order, to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right. Confucius

Family Things Get In The Way...

|

I've got some family stuff going on that is taking up my time. I'm not just a mouse catcher you know. It's my ex-daughter-in-law...she's having a hard time...and Sumolandia is about all the family she has to lean on. Of course this causes me problems with my older son...so I'm in the middle again. I'm always in the middle of somebody's troubles. Not because I put myself there...I'm a firm believer in minding my own business...but just when I think I can get out of it...she pulls me back in. Al Pacino would be proud of me.

A more beautiful woman there isn't. Her father was in Viet Nam and met her mother in Bangkok. Mr. Sumo and I have always wondered if her mother was perhaps in fact a bar girl trying to get married to a GI and get her ticket to America. So they married and T. was born on a base in Japan. The stereotypical Dragon lady left T. when she was nearly a year old. Her father married a Japanese woman and had another girl. T left Japan for America not speaking english at the age of 6. Daddy got divorced from 2nd Asian wife and she and her daughter went back to Japan. T's mother in the meantime lives in San Francisco and has a business that she won't divulge to T. what it is. They don't really have a relationship though they see each other now and again. Her mother has a son by a Chinese guy that she is no longer with. I've met both parents...ewww!

So T. has been bounced around by her father and had many live in mommies if you know what I mean. She didn't complete her education...but she's sharp and would have done well if she'd only applied herself...and if her father had paid attention to her. He's loony as all get out...he from the south...and it SHALL rise again. He says Abraham Lincoln was gay...whatever. This girl is drop dead beautiful...and emotionally messed up. The most caring she's ever gotten has come from us...and when she was with my son...she didn't recognize it yet. So they've split and now she'd decided that you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

Monday...I got a call that woke me up in the morning to come get her at the urgent care she'd injured her knee. She needed a ride home...someone had gotten her there...but she couldn't get through to them so she called me. I've wondered what I've done in a past life that the loonies and the hopeless latch onto me. I guess they see a kindred spirit or something. And trust me it's not a sweet face they are looking into...I frown most of the time...because I'm always on concentrate alert...so really I look mean. Let's just say...that she downed a pint of tequila in less than an hour on the way to my house.

So we had a talk and with the right signals from her...I told her to stop drinking now...that she was an alcoholic. Actually she begged me to tell he that and be stern with her...so I complied. She has called me everyday to tell me she hasn't had anything to drink. I think she's telling me the truth. She sees her primary doctor tomorrow and if I heard her right on the phone this evening...she wants to be a guest Thursday night and sleep over. It isn't a problem...I don't think Mr. Sumo will like it really...but he'll suck it up. He knows full well she's had a raw deal from her real family. Actually she has not been so nice to us in the past but we didn't let her know we knew it. So I guess I sort of have a daughter now to help look after. She told me in the car on the way to my house Monday...that she didn't know why we put up with her because of how she behaved in the past.

So...I told her the truth...remember I was driving...I said we felt no matter what we wanted to try to be family for her because of what she didn't have growing up. Sometimes people realize their mistakes...sometimes they don't. We were giving her time to grow up and realize that we'd always been there for her. Either she would have come to that conclusion of not. Well...let's just say she hit bottom on Monday...yes, she was feeling sorry for herself...I would have too. I told her she didn't have to keep apologizing since she realized now and had learned a valuable lesson.

So I'm driving to my house with a girl clinging to me and kissing me, crying and miserable...but she's beginning to feel hope. She's of course low in the self esteem department...but I'm working on that. I told her to let the past go...I had. Let's put those days behind us...also anything to do with my son...he's out of the picture...he doesn't matter anymore. Of course I'm in trouble with him...but that's another story. So I guess I'll be entertaining T. Thursday and Friday...but hey all that is good now. There was a time in the past that I thought I could 'hurt' her...but I got over it...as she is trying now with alcohol. And I'll keep after her for it. She wants me to play mother to her...I want to help her very much...I'm a tad uncomfortable to have someone that needy...but it's just another step in life to take...and I can't just leave her to being by herself.

I'm really neglecting my blog reading something fierce...I hope to get on track after this week...I just have too many irons in the fire right now. I've got a new site starting up that I've got to write the first welcome...or whatever you'd call it...launch post...and that has me nervous. I'll advertize it here for anyone who may like to give a visit. Just so the guys will know...there will be some nekkid wimmins on it...it's being pimped out real good. July 1st is the day. I sure hope I get the time to write something decent because I have alot on my mind right now...and that is always how it works. One appliance goes bad...and the the rest just follow until it's a nightmare of worry.

And bluegrrrrl...I will get to the tagging thing very soon when I can finally think. It may take me a few days...but I won't forget...and I do very much appreciate your thoughtfulness in naming me with the others. And the Peace Train's Blogswarm! That looms too!

Finally An Intervention...

|

I've become part of a meme going around the "internets" that I have been fortunate to be found as one of 5 of someone's favored blogs. I have Peacechick Mary to thank for that nice inclusion.

I shall respond with 5 of my own. Just as Mary said...there are more than 5 of course for a daily favorite read...but for the meme...one must come up with 5...so here goes...

Fallenmonk...he writes mostly about the day to day politics that interests us all and he has his own interesting perspective of course that makes it worth reading. We get to read about the interesting foreign places he travels to for his job as a computer technical advisor (I hope I almost got that right)...and he's a Georgia Peach for sharing his recipes with us occasionally...which I admire in a man.

Alternate Brain...love to hear from Fixer and Gordon about their take on the administration, especially since they can back up what they say from experience in the military. Some of my best laughs deep down come from this blog. They put the capital S in Snark...I learn from them. Their commenters are worth reading there too.

Omnipotent Poobah...again more politics and well said too. Sometimes you catch him waxing poetic about an experience...like that ponytail lying on the ground by the ATM machine with scissors lying next to it...no explanation because he just happened upon it just lying there. He wondered it the poor thing had the evidence of its cruelty on film from the ATM...such a lonely and stark way for a ponytail to ends its days.

MCCS1997...that's Frederick that gave me the new face lift...thanks again for being so thoughtful and probably tired of my moving stuff around. So Fred has been "making conservatives cringe since 1977...or so he says. I like how good he is with photo shop (I'm jealous) and he has some really hard hitting write-ups about the administration too that should never be missed. He's not just an ordinary citizen like me...he's government property. He knows from whence he speaks.

Blognonymous...I hope I got his link right this time...I usually don't...and he can be one pissed off frog if you know what I mean! Again...more politics...yet he throws in some very eclectic stuff into the mix too...he keeps it interesting...and his has good commenters too. I've had some really good laughs at his place too.

Politics and giggles is my MO for visiting most of the blogs I read. I have a few exceptions. I go to one that journals her workday mostly...but it is an interesting dynamic of people where she works...and of course she has a Bozilla lady boss whose own personality reads like a soap opera most often...yet I enjoy her take on the people she works with...she's mostly kind about them too. So see...I'm about Sh*ts and Giggles most of the time myself. And most surprised that people pay much attention to me at all. Thank you if you do come here and wade through my attempts at writing. Oh...and I don't want to forget to mention I really like Porn...a lot!

The English Patient Joins Mile High Club Status...

|

Actor Ralph Fiennes is alledged in engaging in some hot snogging with an airline stewardess in an aircraft toilet (ewww) during a flight between Australia and India. I put that on an "YIKES" factor of 10!

38-year-old Lisa Robertson (heh...the stewardess) has been suspended without pay while the incident is investigated inside and out of course, but she has claimed that she and the Oscar-nominated actor did not have hot, sweaty animal love in the plane's bathroom.

In a statement to her employers, Quantas Airlines, she admitted that Fiennes did follow her into the toilet cubicle. We in America like to call it a bathroom, or restroom. Cubicle sounds so icky to me. The whole thing is icky who am I kidding! There isn't room for even one small person in a cubicle much less to amorous people. Hell...why not invite the whole coach section too! He probably likes to be watched.

According to the BBC, she said: "I explained to him that this was inappropriate and asked him to leave. Like we believe this...we all know she's a horndog...that's what stewardi do! They are looking for husbands for goodness sakes!

"Mr. Fiennes became amorous towards me and, after a short period of time, I convinced him to leave the toilet, which he did." She means she took his tiger by the tail and gave it a good shagging...the poor thing.

Licentious Lisa told how she spoke to the actor several times during the flight, as well as during her break, but defended herself, saying: "This is common practice on long flights... Yeah right you hussy...you were chomping at the old feed bag weren't you?! It was dirty talk and we all know it!

"I believe it is part of the role of the flight attendant to be friendly, natural and approachable to all our passengers." So do I missy...so does old Ralph! Smoking a cigarette now...was it as good for you as it was for me?

Love in their eye
We don't know why
Bet still they can try
Just not in the sky

The cubicle of love
If done from above
Results in such fluff
As stupid actor stuff
