To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order, to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right. Confucius

Yeah, I saw the video...

|

Yeah, I saw the video that UBL put out for our viewing pleasure. I've just had some oral surgery...so I can't get too worked up over it. What good would it do anyway...how's that for apathy? I really don't think it makes much difference who the next President will be...these people are after our butts...and they will leave no stone unturned. But I also know that whomever is President cannot afford to be lax about the future. I think our side will try to thwart whatever they can...but I also believe the other side will not rest.

So...bottom line is...it's sucky right now. And I don't just mean my mouth. Ack! Ack!

P.S. Sickster: in case you are reading here today...I think Mr. Bin Laden was saying that it doesn't matter who the President is..."Cause we're gonna get your asses! Ne ner ne ner ne ner!"

AND...HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY! wish I could eat some candy! Oh well....

Sit down...you'll need to!

|

Just for your information folks...I don't believe in censorship...of any kind; it leads to alternatives that I do not like to think about. I even have a problem swearing or gesturing (hand) in public...it simply is something I am
incapable of doing...because that means I'm making a scene...and I don't make scenes. I'll even eat a mistake in a restaurant rather than make a fuss. That doesn't mean I don't get steamed when the moment calls for it...but...I am of a nature to be as much in the background as possible. That said...I am passing along what I described in my post of the 27th (Big Brother)...what this girl really said in her post about Bush. Warning: it is rather shocking...she meant her vitriol as a joke...but the Secret Service didn't take it that way. When I first posted I had not read her manifesto...athough it is something I would have thought better of...I defend her right to have blooged it...she was being a smart-ass...nothing more. Someone who reads her live journal turned her in to the FBI. And so it goes...

a prayer for dubya
Dear God:
Wassup? How's it hanging? Yeah, I know it's been a long time since we talked. This probably stems from my belief that you do not exist. Anyway, the reason why I'm calling you is because last night, President Bush said that he could feel it every time we prayed for him, and since he apparently doesn't listen to anyone but you, Lord, I thought you might pass this along to him.

Please kill George Bush. I hate him so much. I think he is a giant dick and I want terrible things to happen to
him. I'm not really big on the specifics of how he dies, but if you could at least arrange it so that the authorities fine his dead body on top of an underage black male prostitute surrounded by a mountain of cocaine and child pornography, that would really be super awesome! And maybe you could have some media people there when the police find the body, so they can take pictures and stuff. That'd be great. Am I allowed to say "fuck" in a prayer? Shit, I just said it again. Ah, well.

Anyway, that's my prayer, Lord. Please, please, please kill Dubya. And Dick Cheney. And everyone else in the Bush Administration. Maybe they can all commit mass suicide together or something. I don't know. You're the one with all the ideas.You come up with something.

Smooches and Huggles,
anniesj

Come on people, Share your own prayers for Bush. Maybe if we all pray hard enough, Bush will feel it so deeply he'll have an aneuyrsm! You never know! *squeezes eyes shut and prays harder*

She got her visit from the FBI, Secret Service...or whatever takes care of such things as this...and got her wrist slapped when they decided she meant no harm...and of course deleted her post. Since I was curious as a woman would be of course...I found it from some of her faithful readers that reposted it. She posted the next day of her apology...and a warning to others to not do what she did. Since I now know what she did indeed say...I understand why they visited her. But...I still believe in Big Brother all around us. My apologies to those who found her choice of words unfortunate. FYI...I do not pose a threat to Mr. Bush...yes...I am a democrat...but do not...repeat...wish harm to him or the Administration. So SS dudes...don't waste your time and money on visiting my abode...it's messy anyway!

Found it!

|

I found her blog...the one that got her in so much trouble with the fbi or was it the secret service guys...anyhoo...I don't have the time tonight to put up what she said about bushie...but I will tommorrow. It is something to read...meant as a joke mind you...it shocked me I must say. I cannot express the big flap that is going around about it. This girl has become quite a net celebrity. Until tommorrow! If you don't get what I am meaning here...my previous blog tells more.

Big Brother has happened...

|

Well, Big Brother has finally happened and the Bush administration did it. I came across a side-bar blog of someone that had linked to this very outspoken female blogger (livejournal)...apparently she had some choice things to say about a man called Bush. I did not see the original post...it does not exist anymore...and we know why don't we? She goes on to tell her story so that others will not go through what she and her family did.

She got an up-close and personal visit from the fbi...I'm not going to capitalize it just because! Anyway...she was interrogated...use your imagination...and after all the fallout crap fom this...she is warning people about being careful what they may say. She said she was not threatening HIM...but apparently someone ratted her out because they were probably BUSH lovers. So long story short...she got popped.

The replies that she received...(the last I knew)...46 pages...and probably more as I write. People are really incensed about the free speech thing. What is paranoia coming to these days? The Republicans are the biggest BASHERS there are...but just let a Democrat say something to counter back at THEIR cheap crap...and the world comes to a screeching halt. That's why the Republicans HAVE to be defeated! We are indeed speeding toward MC CARTHYISM...in a hand-basket. We are riding that silver bullit all the way gang...and at the end of it is not a pretty sight. And...that is not a threat to anyone...it is a metaphor for we are all doomed if this crap keeps happening to people that just want to blab how they feel...we all do it...one way or another...it's a rant...nothing more.

The people that need to be gone after...are the ones that are beheading innocent people...instead of blogging...they go out in search of people they can intimidate and frighten and kill. They have an agenda...not a young girl college girl. So time and effort was put into traveling to her parents house and going through said house. She was told that she possibly could go on a no flight list. Ack! May they all go impotent for this! Oh, there were other threats too. I just cannot wrap my mind around this. If I knew how to link I could have shared this with others...but alas...I cannot...perhaps someday. FYI = I have never used the word president ever...and I mean ever...with the word bush. He is and will always be, "the man called bush" to me. I guess that makes me a criminal now. Oh well!

Derelict

|

I have been remiss in continuing my subject of "PSYCHONEOLOGISTICS". You know...manias and phobias...you know we all have them.

FRIENDORPHOBIA = Fear of forgetting a password.
GALEANTHROPY = Belief that one has become a cat.
GAMOMANIA = A form of insanity characterized by odd or extravagant proposals of marriage.
GENIOPHOBIA = Gear of chins.
GEPHYROPHOBIA = Morbid bridge fear.
GYMNOPHOBIA = Fear of nudity.
HAGIOPHOBIA = Fear of holy objects, people and concepts.

I thought perhaps the last one was going to be a fear of old ladies...imagine my surprise!

Sadness to come

|

I'm writing in red today to represent blood. That's right...the lady taken hostage (Hassan I think is her name)...her blood will flow...just like the sun will go down tonight and come up tommorrow. To me there is no difference in the horror of it just because she is a woman...but it will be a sad day nonetheless. I hope she gains the strength to deal with her waking hours. I wish I could do something for her...all I can do is think of her and wish her the numbness of mind that she will need.

Oh...I certainly hope that she will be released...but I don't see it happening. It is beyond me how elusive these terrorists have become...Zarqawi and his spawn. How many places can they hide in these townships...they appear to not be large communities...judging by the looks of the news that is...I'm probably mistaken just the same. She had been there for 30 years helping the Iraqis (or so we're told)...and married to an Iraqi...you'd think that she'd be cut some slack for all the good she has done.

The beheadings are getting to me...even the baseball games and the politics pale in comparison to what is going on there. I wish it would stop and go away. May she have the strength of mind and body as her time nears...she will need it.

The Mr. Bill Show

|

There's a little thingy that used to come on Saturday Night Live..."The Mr. Bill Show" that featured thingies made rather like Gumby was. Mr. Bill had a dog with him most of the time...and he was always being crushed, trampled, pummeled or something violent done to him...so that he would emit and "Oh No!" wail that would send one into uproarious laughter...or so (I) thought it was funny:)

Now the new show in town seems to be Mr. Bill O'reilly of the O'Reilly Factor...you know...on the Fox News Network...where they are so very unfair and unbalanced. And...I say that will all due respect and sincerity I do asure you. I came across some interesting sites on the web yesterday that had me laughing my head off, and yes...it was at Mr. Bill's expense...Mr. Bill OReilly's expense that is. One is called...The Falafel Factor...and the other is...Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O'Reilly, International...and I've got to tell you...yes sir...I laughed a long time at this stuff.

I can just here Bill O'Reilly screaming..."Oh No!" even now. Isn't life wonderful sometimes? You know...what goes around, comes around. I can't decide if I want the T-shirt or the coffee mug...and then again...I might want to get the dog a shirt too! WooHoo....go Bill! Bill O'Reilly rocks on Porn...or is that gets his rocks off on Porn? It may be the question of the century folks.

Voting mumbo jumbo

|

I've been reading the booklet "Voter Information Guide" to catch up on the ballot measures and various propositions etc., and I'm ready to gouge out my one good eye in the middle of my forehead. Whatever! A person needs more that a masters degree for this undertaking. I think it must be the small print that eventually gets to a body.

After a while I didn't know what I was reading. In California we have the Indian casinos, stem cell research, DNA samples, mental health services expansion, emergency medical services, limitations on "3 strikes" and tax on personal incomes...just to name a few. My eye is rolling back into my head, spinning and spinning.

I don't know if I'll have the strength to vote after all this. Couldn't they just give a very quick synopsis that one could grab onto for dear life and make a decision without all the brain surgery? Oh...I forgot...now I seem to remember that I have an absentee ballot around here somewhere...must...find...it...somehow.

Now if the voting for these various amendments and potential laws were as simple as applying for an absentee ballot...life would take on a new meaning. All I can say is IT better be worth it! I could be spending that time cleaning my house instead. Woohooteefreakin'doo!

Taking pleasure in the misfortune of others

|

Phobias and Manias continued...

EPICARICACY = Taking pleasure in the misfortune of others (yeah...i can think of a few)
ERGASIOPHOBIA = Fear of work.
EUPHOBIA = Fear of good news.
FORMICATION = A feeling that ants are crawling over one's skin.

Who knew...

|

Interesting stuff on CNN today. Some troops allegedly refused to follow orders to move on an area with combat force. What is up with that...eh? There should be some interesting days ahead on that score. I wonder if the truth will be allowed to come out...or we'll get fed the same old thing. What these guys don't know is this...they certainly will be made an example of (no matter what the truth is), and no stone will be overtuned that doesn't spin it in favor of the military.

I feel sorry for them, because the real word won't get out easily. "Primetime" last night proved that about veterans that were back from Iraq and handicapped. It was really sad...but, mostly made me mad. They should ban together and call their group, "BACK FROM IRAQ AND HANDICAPPED"...what a chant too...BACK FROM IRAQ AND HANDICAPPED! Poor fellows.

And it seems Bill O'Reilly is in the proverbial hot seat...and or...trying to give the hot seat back to the OTHER woman (don't remember her name...sorry). Don't know who is at fault...don't really care. I think it should be kept private...but, whatever. I know nothing of this woman...but I know O'Reilly from his Fox show...and even though this would not make the man guilty...I find him overbearingly arrogant, completely self possessed and rather narcissistic. Does that make him guilty? No. But, let us not forget some televangelists (men of God)...now there's a laugh!...that turned their back on their God when it came to fornicating and or adultery!

Anybody...and I mean ANYBODY is capable of depths of...shall I say the dark side of the force...at anytime...given the circumstances. Who knows...maybe the woman is looking for money...it will eventually come out in the wash however. Oh...I do believe that POWER CORRUPTS too. Amend...power CAN corrupt...those that let it. If O'Reilly isn't guilty of this...fine...but I hope he suffers the pangs of the damned for his statement to Jon Stewart about the type of audience that watches his Comedy Central show. Now Bill is in the special seat of speculation...and I hope it sucks the big one for HIM! I know that I will always remember him for the "Titanic Toady" he has been for Fox and the Republican right.

Amy Tan voting for Kerry

|

Another tidbit from one of the novelists when asked whom they were voting for...

I'm voting for Kerry, because I have a brain and so does he. (we could all end it here!)
By Bush logic, I should vote for him, since he gave me a hefty tax cut. In fact, the greatest increase in our deficit comes--not from the Iraq war--but the tax savings to the upper income brackets, on average more than $50,000 a year. To those who say Kerry is elitist, I counter there is no worse elitism than giving the rich more riches, while draining the rest of the country of monies that should go to schools, health care, the disabled, and support for the arts. Kerry would remove most of the tax cuts to the rich and give more back to the rest of the country.

What's more, the current president has done more to damage our civil rights, our environment, our standing in the world, our work toward the collective good, our sense of security. He has used orange alert fear to instill obedience, has redefined patriotism as a willingness to sacrifice constitutional law. How can I not vote for a candidate like Kerry, who respects the Constitution, who respects the need for health care, and who is strong and rational enough to defend our country but without arm pumping and high fives when the bombs fall on another country?

A few more manias and phobias to delight in...

DROMOMANIA = A compulsive longing for travel.
ECOPHBOIA = Fear of home.
EIDETIC IMAGE = A memory that is as intense and fresh as actual experience.
ELEUTHEROMANIA = A compelling desire for freedom. (pronounced i-luth-era-mania)
EMACITY = An itch to be buying.
EOSOPHOBIA = Fear of dawn.

Oh...and by the way...Kerry had the field...the proverbial die is cast my friends...do not pass go...do not collect $200.00...thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I mental?

|

COUNTERPHOBIC = Seeking out what is feared; preferring that which one is afraid of.
CREMNOPHOBIA = Abnormal fear of cliffs and precipices.
CYNANTHROPY = A form of insanity in which the person imagines himself to be a dog.
DORAMANIA = The compulsion to own furs.

Woooooohoooooo! Cannot wait for tonights DEBATE and all the rhetoric that will follow. I love all the analyzing that the different news services come up with. Some of it is interesting, and some is just pathetic with the desperate attempt at explaining away certain peoples' retardedness. Hopefully there will be a nice day to come when those of us can thumb our noses at those retards that would hold this country hostage to their sophomoric (blah, blah) values.

I found it interesting in the last debate that BUSH said that the Supreme Court Justices were not to make laws according to their heart...but according to the law. Isn't it funny that instead of there being a separation of Church and State (for law or anything), that these law making people, all the way up to the Administration, tout their christian values...etc.

Someone tell me where in the Constitution it allows for this? A few good examples would be pro-choice and stem cell research....even gay marriage...religion always enters into our justice system...when it should not. Other countries think we are so archaic...not to mention other nicknames. All religion belongs in peoples hearts, homes and churches. Period!

Who are novelists voting for?

|

SLATE asked a variety of prominent American novelists, for a frank response to the following question: Which presidential candidate are you voting for, and why? Thirty-one novelists participated, with four for Bush, 24 for Kerry, and three in a category of their own. Authors cited a range of reasons, from a vote for Kerry "because I have a brain and so does he" (Amy Tan), to a vote for Bush because "we're at war, and electing a president who is commited to losing it seems to be the most foolish thing we could do" (Orson Scott Card).

I thought what many of them had to say was right on. I personally chose what Thomas Beller had to say about his vote to go into todays blog just to get the word out.

I'm voting for Kerry. He isn't afraid of America. He understands that you can love your country and criticize it, too. In fact criticism, in the sense that it is articulated thought, is a form of love, at least when it comes to your country. (This logic may work less well with individuals). I recently came across a copy of THE NEW SOLDIER, a book that documents the Vietnam veteran antiwar movement, and, though he looked a lot less cool, a lot less tough, than most of the other guys pictured, his remarks were compelling. He seems to have sublimated most of that anger, which, though it's frustrating sometimes on the campaign trail, may be a positive development, because beyond a certain point of anger, you stop thinking, and being angry is the only comfortable point from which you can act.

The Bush-Cheney gang are the angriest guys in the country; fear is their weapon against thought, in whose light they do not look plausible as government. Bullying and slander is their modus operandi.

I saw the face of the Republican Party the other day at the Saratoga racetrack. It was the last day of the races, and a small woman with a big hat walked through the crowd carrying a handmade sign, written in script: "Little Old Ladies in White Tennis Shoes For Kerry", it said at the top and beneath it, "The best bet of the day". She moved through the crowd, a big smile, holding the sign over her head. I watched as she passed an old-young guy, mid-30s, already well paunched, gold watch, smoking a cigar. He looked at her, at the sign, and then bent forward and spat out a nasty remark in her ear. I was too far away to hear it. But the way he shook his head after he passed her, his body language, maybe just the watch, I was sure it was nasty. She, however, didn't flinch-which in a way I took to be the best political news of the week.

More...

|

Manias & Phobias continued...

BOTANOPHOBIA = Fear of plants and flowers.
BULIMY = Insatiable hunger.
CASTROPHRENIA = Belief that your thoughts are being stolen by an enemy.
CATHISOPHOBIA = Fear of sitting.
CHREMATOPHOBIA = Fear of money.
CLINOPHOBIA = Fear of going to bed.

Blogs about anything

|

I read a young mans blog today...one that I am fond of reading, and he made an interesting observation...or so I thought. He maintained that he thought that people should blog with a purpose...not just about anything. He felt THAT was a boring thing to do. Therefore he would not blog about his taste in music as an example...because it would be boring to others and not relevant. He does blog about his political opinions and important situations that pop up from time to time around the world...and in our own country.

I am not of his generation..but I enjoy what he and other young people talk about...(or should I say blog about)...because in truth I had lost faith that young people were good for much of anything. Interesting word ANYTHING! The thought of the younger generations coming behind me to decide what would happen in my older years when I finally reach that stage (you know...political decisions, SSI for example)...
is a frightening thing. And I didn't have any trust that these generations would be intelligent enough to handle this.

But, it is blogs such as this that have restored my trust that younger people are smart...and thoughtful about what is going on in the world. Deeply so. I soak up what other people have to say because that is what makes the world go for its round each day. That round may be a tough tumble some of the time...but nonetheless it continues on its path, and we have no choice but to follow it. I am here to say that anything and everything matters. It's all communication at some point, you know...what it all boils and roils down to in the end.

Now...my blog probably comes under his title of blogging about "anything"...and that's okay...because everyone has the choice to read it or not, like it or not, disagree or not...comment or not. People just have to get on their blogs and do their thing...isn't this a great country? Because we can talk crap about anybody we want to ( Bush included )...and that is one freedom I like. Being able to say what "I" want...whether it is relevant or not. It's my relevant! It's every persons relevant. Oh...and as far as music...Tom Waits ROCKS!

Relevant or not...2 more word phobias and manias...because I love words!

BLENNOPHOBIA = Morbid fear of slime.
BOANTHROPY = The madness in which a man imagines himself to be an ox.

Forgot my words...

|

Oops! Forgot to write 2 more mania and phobia words.

ASTRAPHOBIA = Fear of being struck by lightening.

BATRACHOPHOBIA = Fear of frogs and toads.

BTW...neither of the above words applies to me...I love frogs and toads...seriously!

Hated him...!

|

Welllllll, Keryy won! Sorry to you Republicans out there...but Kerry won the day. Oh...who cares anyway...we're all doomed as it is. There's no going back before 9-11...right? Life is what it is...and nothing is going to resolve it to where it once was...at least for Americans. We had it darn good. We became complacent...I'm certainly guilty. The one single event that I feel that blew the stopper for us...was and is...ABU GHRAIB (sp?)...I personally found it absolutely astounding that anyone could resort to this behavior as being acceptable. I didn't commit these acts upon these people...but I might as well have...because if I happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (as it may suit the terrorists...if they nail it again)...I'll be a statistic. I don't want to be a statistic.

I don't want to die for other peoples stupidity...I'd rather die of cancer...or even be killed by a drunk driver...at least the drunk wouldn't have deliberately set out to kill ME. The drunk driver wouldn't have plotted and schemed to find me on the road...and I don't think drunk drivers have 71 (or is it 72?) virgins waiting in the wings if they cack!

Had to tape it!

|

I was busy this evening so I had to tape the DEBATE...darn I hated to miss it. But that is what taping is for...so I did...and I will watch it Saturday morning and get all the dirt. Can't wait! I will give my opinion of it for sure...I just hope it is worthy (the debate) of peoples comments and their time. It's down to nail-biting time anymore!

In-Laws

|

I happen to be possessed of wonderful in-laws. They live next door and over the years have not been over here a lot. My Father-in-law doesn't like to eat other peoples cooking, and they are very conscious of not being nosey. They have a bigger house than we do and it has more recent household updates as far as maintenance.

They just gave us the house if we want it when they pass away. Their health is poor and my father-in-law could go anytime. They said that they wanted to settle it before anything could happen to either one of them. My husbands older Brother is going through a divorce and they want it settled in the living will to keep HER out of the equasion.

They also are wealthy and his Brother would receive cash...and he probably wouldn't want the house anyway. Actually there is plenty of money to go around. I have always known that I was fortunate in my in-laws. I am not speaking in terms of money now...my in-laws have always wanted to be there for their son. He had a terrible business loss in the past due to theft and vandalism. My Father-in-law insisted on replacing it for him after the insurance kicked in...which wasn't good enough of course.

Other than that experience we have not needed to ask for anything of them...but we have always known they would give it if warranted. I am close to my in-laws, they are like parents to me. My parents live in another state so I don't see them but once a year. I am trying to get them to move near me so I can take care of them when they may need it. It happens to be a terrible worry to me knowing that they don't have anyone where they are at to help them out. They left Los Angeles 20 years ago to go live in the State of Washington about 80 miles south of Canada...out in the country. It's so beautiful there...but no help as they get older and infirm.

I hope to convince them to come back to California someday. So, I'll finish with 2 more mania and phobia words for the day. Ah...come on you know you like it...all you word nerds out there!

ANUPTAPHOBIA = Fear of remaining single.
ARACHIBUTYROPHOBIA = Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth, according to The People's Almanac.

Taco Bell

|

Late tonight I stopped by the drive-thru at a nearby TB, and at a quick glance saw a cop and a paramedic walking away from the front of the building. The main entrance that they were walking away from was obscured as I drove up to the drive-thru. The voice at the box said the TB was closed but would re-open ASAP. The light bulb went off in my head and I figured a patron had passed out or something. Drove around to leave and that's when I saw what was up. A large American made car had driven into the entrance and was just...there...in all its rusty glory. I saw a group talking to a cop with a lot of arm waving and raised voices...the man that looked to be the perpetrator was...uh...on something...and he wasn't young either. This is going to cost this guy a lot of money...personally he didn't look like he would have been insured. It made me glad that I am me.

MANIAS and PHOBIAS...continued...

ANHEDONIA = The inability to be happy.
ANTHROPHOBIA = An abnormal fear of flowers.

Debate again

|

First,2 more words for manias and phobias...
ACORIA = Unnatural or morbid appetite for food.
AMATHOPHOBIA = Fear of dust.

The VP Debate...
I thought both Cheney and Edwards surprised everyone with the opposite of what they thought it would be. Cheney wasn't a grumpy old fart, and Edwards new his way around the block. For my dollar I'd have to say that Edwards came off the better of the two for just about everything. But ol' Cheney ain't no dummy, that's for sure.

I wonder how different things might possibly be if he had become prez instead...but we'll never know the answer to that one will we? Alas, life does go on afterall and in the near future we shall all see the light one way or another. I just hope this country STOPS being divided...I'm guilty too...because I detest the other side too...I try not to, but I do. We all have the freedom to do that don't we?

Cnn DEBATE...

|

I am watching the debate right now for the 2 VP hopefuls... and so far it is really interesting...I'll finish it and then I'll give my opinion...for whatever that is worth. Toodles!

Mere words...

|

There is no such thing as "mere words". So off my library shelf came a book written by Paul Dickson, "Words". Many...I repeat many interesting areas of content to soak up and enjoy...or so says I anyway.

There is nothing amusing about mental illness; but there is something amusing about the way psychological professionals feel compelled to construct a new word each time they come upon a poor soul with a very rare...perhaps unique...fear or fantasy.

So...first up on the podium comes in alphbetical order for your pleasure............

ABOULIA = Loss of willpower.

One more teaser...

ACAROPHOBIA = Fear of small insects such as mites and ticks.

I would have made this more pleasing to the eye...except I have lost my panel that allows me to choose colors, font styles and size of said font. Crap! This panel just seems to come willynilly as it wants to...oh well...whatever eh? It's not like it is important or anything...certainly isn't going to change the world...ho hum.

Iraqi Politics

|

Militant Cleric Considers Entry Into Iraqi Politics
Gleaned from NYTimes...October 2nd

The Shiite cleric Moktada al-Sadr has begun laying the groundwork to enter Iraqi's nacent democratic process, telling Iraqi leaders that he is planning to disband his militia and possibly field candidates for office. Sadr has sent emissaries to some of Iraqs major political parties and religious groups to discuss the possibility of involving himself in the campaign for nationwide elections, according to a senior aide to Sadr and several Iraqi leaders who have met with him.

While Sadr has made promises to end his armed resistance before, some Iraqi officials believe that he may be serious this time, especially given the toll of attacks on his forces. Sadr's political intentions have been endorsed by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the country's most powerful Shiite religious leader. He has long tried to tame what he believes is Sadr's destructive in fluence on the chances of Iraq's Shiites to win a majority in the elections scheduled for January.

Well...isn't that special? That being said while I gouge out the eye in the middle of my forhead. Now...I HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING! Uh...not anymore eh?

Auxospore

|

Auxospore...One of many all-purpose swearwords created by Gelett Burgess, the master of word creation. Auxospore appears in a passage from Burgess's Find the Woman, which was published in 1911. In the passage a truck driver, who has gotten in the way of a parade organized by a society to ban profanity, is addessed by the angry Dr. Hopbottom, who is the head of the society:
The doctor shook his fist again and started in earnest. His voice began with calmness and deliberation, but soon rose high. It swept forth in a majestic declamation full of all sorts of forte, staccato and crescendo effects to the noble climax. "See here, you slack-salted transubstantiated interdigital germarium, you rantipole sacrosciatic rock-barnacle you, if you give me any of your caprantipolene paragastrular megalopteric jacitation, I'll make a lamellibranchiate gymnomixine parabolic lepidopteroid out of you! What diacritical right has a binominal oxypedactile advoutrous holoblastic rhizopod like you got with your trinoctial ustilaginous Westphalian holocaust blocking up the teleostean way for, anyway! If you give me any more of your lunarian, snortomaniac heperbolic pylorectomy, I'll skive you into a megalopteric diatomeriferous auxospore! You queasy Zoroastrian son of a helicopteric heypotrachelium, you, shut your logarithmic epicycloidal mouth! You let this monopolitan macrocosmic helciform procession go by and wait right here in the anagological street. And no more of your hedonistic primordial supervirescence, you rectangular quillet-eating, vice-presidential amoeboid, either!"

News reports

I watched a lot of news today. Mostly to gather what the world had to say about the DEBATE. In this country it is fair to say that the Republicans were finding all kinds of ways to explain Bushie's Follies. And by that I mean very few of them aknowledged that he stumbled a bit...and repeated himself. I am sure I would have too in all fairness. But he did come off rather petulant that Kerry did as well as he did...I think he thought it would be a slam dunk for him...uh...nope!

So the Republicans praised Bushie and covered for him...and the Democrats supported their guy. And you know what? I guess truthfully...that is the correct thing to do...stand by your man...no matter what...no matter where. And that is a good thing. Loyalty I mean...it is a good thing, and we could all do with more of it. But I will say this much as far as a stand politically...a man called Bush makes decisions for me that I am not comfortable with...and that's all I'm going to say.

Debate...

|

Well... my blog about the debate was lost somehow...just as well probably. The jist of it was that I felt Kerry came off better of the two guys. The other guy being the man called Bush of course. I don't know how the rest of the world may see it, but Dubya
didn't exactly handle his facial expressions so well. He kind of ferreted around...IF you know what I mean. I felt Kerry was articulate and poised and intelligent. Bushie had a few blank moments, but he also articulated better that I thought he could...and that is a good thing. Just the same Kerry is the winner of the day in my book.

There are that dare, and I myself have ventured to speak my mind of him,
And, indeed, this day sir, I may tell it you, I think I have incensed the lords of the council that he is,
For so I know he is, they know he is a most arch heretic, a pestilence that does infect the land with which they moved,
Have broken with the king; who hath so far given ear to our complaint, of his great grace and princely care,
Forseeing those fell mischiefs our reasons laid before him, hath commanded tommorrow morning
To the council board he be convented. He's a rank weed, sir, and we must root him out.
From your affairs I hinder you too long: good night sir, many good nights, my lord: I rest your servant.
